Portico of the Aetolians

The Portico of the Aetolians, also known as the Western Portico, is one of the largest buildings at Delphi, situated west of the sacred precinct of Apollo. Measuring 72.6 m long and 11.6 m wide with a double colonnade of 29 exterior and 15 interior columns, it was initially built in the 4th century BC and later associated with the Aetolian League's efforts to commemorate their presence at the sanctuary. The portico displayed captured arms and armour, and may have served as an arsenal following the Galatian invasions.
