Lepreum

Lepreum was an ancient Greek city-state in Triphylia, a district of Elis in western Peloponnese [1] [2]. Located 40 stadia from the sea at the western end of Mount Minthi, it was built around two citadels [1] [3]. The city rose to prominence in the Classical and Hellenistic periods, becoming the capital of Triphylia [1] [3]. Some scholars identify it with the mythical city of Aepy mentioned in Homer's Iliad [1] [3].
