Lepreum

Lepreum was an ancient Greek city-state in Triphylia, a district of Elis in western Peloponnese [1]. Located 40 stadia (approximately 7.4 km) from the sea at the western end of Mount Minthi, it was built around two citadels [2]. The city rose to prominence in the Classical and Hellenistic periods, becoming the capital of Triphylia [1]. Some scholars identify it with the mythical city of Aepy mentioned in Homer's Iliad [1].
