Altar of Zeus Agoraios

Built in the 4th century BC, the Altar of Zeus Agoraios is a white marble altar in the northwest Ancient Agora of Athens. Measuring 9m deep and 5.5m wide, it was among the first monuments uncovered during the 1931 excavations by the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. Mason marks from the Augustan period indicate it was relocated from the Pnyx to its current location[1][2].
