Alogonia - Town

Alagonia was an ancient town near the Laconia-Messenia border in the Peloponnese, Greece. Pausanias lists it among the cities of the Free Laconians (Eleuthero-Lacones), situated about thirty stades inland from Gerenia, and records temples of Dionysus and Artemis there. Its precise location remains uncertain, though it is tentatively placed near the modern village of Anatoliko in Messenia.
