Knoll Camp

Knoll Camp (or Damerham Knoll) is an Iron Age univallate hillfort in Hampshire, England, on the border with Wiltshire near the village of Rockbourne. The circular earthwork encloses about 1.6 hectares (4 acres), defined by a single ditch with inner rampart reaching 1.2m above the ditch base. Dating to the Late Bronze Age to Early Iron Age transition (8th-5th centuries BC), it likely served as a stock enclosure or place of refuge. Associated features include a 132m cross dyke and a 705m linear earthwork. The site is a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
