Chiselbury

Chiselbury is an Iron Age univallate hillfort in Wiltshire[1]. The sub-circular enclosure covers approximately 10.5 acres and is defended by an earthen rampart up to 3.6m high and an external ditch up to 1.6m deep[1]. A gap in the southeastern rampart, with a causeway across the ditch, is believed to be the original entrance[1]. Associated with this entrance is a small D-shaped embanked enclosure, now degraded by ploughing but still visible as low earthworks on aerial photographs[1].
