EnglandJaw Hill is a hill in the City of Leeds district of West Yorkshire, England, near Kirkhamgate. A large square cropmark enclosure investigated in 1995 was identified as a possible Roman marching camp. The site revealed V-shaped east and west ditches with evidence of a revetted defensive bank and lines of post-holes. A greyware vessel base dating from the 2nd to 4th century AD was recovered, suggesting Roman-period military activity along this section of West Yorkshire.
