Hordron Edge Stone Circle

Hordron Edge Stone Circle, also known as the Seven Stones of Hordron, is a Bronze Age stone circle on Moscar Moor in Derbyshire, England, overlooking the upper Derwent Valley. The free-standing circle measures approximately 16m in diameter with stones of local millstone grit less than 1m tall, the largest nicknamed "the Witch" at the southwest. A 1992 excavation by John Barnatt revealed buried stones covered in peat and evidence the interior may have been terraced to create a level surface. Originally the circle may have comprised 16-20 stones, of which 10 survive.
