Ecclesall Woods

Ecclesall Woods is an area of woodland in south-west Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, covering approximately 350 acres (1.4 km²) of mature semi-natural deciduous woodland [1]. Historically used for timber and charcoal production, the woods are now managed by Sheffield City Council for wildlife conservation and public access [1]. Over 10 miles (16 km) of public footpaths traverse the woodland, with two roads providing vehicle access [1]. The Abbeydale miniature railway operates within the woods [1].
