Broadsands Chambered Tomb

Neolithic passage grave overlooking Broadsands Beach in Torbay, Devon, and the only known surviving example of its type in the county. Excavated by Ralegh Radford in 1958, the tomb comprises an irregular polygonal chamber measuring 3.35 m by 2.1 m set within a stone cairn. Inside were the fragmentary remains of two adults and a child alongside Neolithic pottery sherds. The tomb was disturbed in the medieval period when it was incorporated into a parish boundary hedge bank. Listed as a Scheduled Monument since 1957.
