Tenta, Cyprus

Tenta (Kalavasos-Tenta) is an Aceramic Neolithic settlement in southern Cyprus, dating to approximately 8000 BC [1] [2]. Located near modern Kalavasos, it sits on a small natural hill in the Vasilikos valley, about 38 km southwest of Larnaca and 45 km south of Nicosia, close to the Nicosia–Limassol highway [1] [3] [4]. The site represents one of the earliest known human settlements on Cyprus, showcasing the pre-ceramic phase of the Neolithic period [1] [4] [5].
