Požun is a small settlement on the left bank of the Kupa river, opposite Ozalj Castle in Karlovac County, Croatia [1]. The museum in Ozalj Castle holds a stone axe found at Požun from the Neolithic Lengyel culture, dating to the 5th millennium BC, testifying to ancient habitation in the area [1] [2]. According to legend, Count Nikola Zrinski settled Croats here from Poszony between the 16th and 17th centuries [1]. The modern village had only 35 residents as of the 2011 census [1].
