The House of the Silver Wedding is the archaeological remains of a Roman domus in Pompeii, destroyed during the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD[1]. Constructed around 300 BC and renovated in the early 1st century AD, it was home to a wealthy Roman citizen[1]. The house was excavated in 1893 and named to commemorate the silver wedding anniversary of King Umberto I and Queen Margherita of Savoy, celebrated that year[1]. Its classical Roman architecture features fine frescoed walls, elaborate mosaic floors, and massive carved pillars, representing the sophisticated domestic design of the Roman elite[1].
