An ancient fort in ruins in the Sialkot district of Pakistan, standing on the site of Sagala, capital of the Indo-Greek Kingdom under King Menander I in the 2nd century BC. According to Punjabi folklore, the fort was built by Raja Salban around the 2nd century AD. It was rebuilt by Shahab ud-Din Ghori after capturing it from Khusrau Malik, the last Ghaznavid ruler. Archaeological finds including ancient Greek coins confirm the site's connections to Greco-Indian civilization. The fort features a distinctive dual defense system protecting both river and land approaches, enabling prolonged resistance against sieges.
