Mohra Muradu

Mohra Muradu is an ancient Buddhist stupa and monastery complex near Taxila in Punjab, Pakistan, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Taxila since 1980. Built in the 2nd century AD and renovated in the 5th century during the Kushan period, the monastery features 27 cells arranged around a square courtyard. Excavated in 1914-1915 under Sir John Marshall's supervision, the site yielded well-preserved stucco sculptures of the Buddha in various mudras, now housed in the Taxila Museum.
