The Dharmarajika Stupa, also called the Great Stupa of Taxila, is a Buddhist monument in Punjab, Pakistan. Built in the 3rd century BCE by Emperor Ashoka over relics of the Buddha, it features a cylindrical dome with a harmika and chhatra atop, surrounded by a circumambulatory path. The original core contained relics reburied from an earlier deposit, and the site later expanded into a major monastic complex. It forms part of the Ruins of Taxila, a UNESCO World Heritage Site inscribed in 1980.[1][2]
