An Inca-period archaeological site in Machupicchu District, Cusco Region, situated between the ruins of Sayaqmarka and Phuyupatamarka along the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Believed to have functioned as a tampu (trailside inn) for travelers on this sacred mountain route, the compact site features ceremonial water channels at the base of a rocky outcrop. Qunchamarka is visible from above at the more prominent Sayaqmarka ruins and is reached on Day Three of the classic four-day Inca Trail trek.
