Posbury Hill Fort is an Iron Age hill fort in Devon, England, located about 3 miles (4.8 km) south-west of Crediton on a hilltop 180 metres (590.5 ft) above sea level [1]. The site consists of an incomplete earthwork that only partly encloses the hilltop, suggesting the fort may never have been fully completed [1]. It remains unexcavated, preserving its archaeological potential [1]. A modern road cuts across the northern edge of the hilltop [1]. The fort dates to the Iron Age period (approximately 1500–500 BC), a time when such defended settlements were common across Britain [1].
