The House of Julia Felix (Latin: praedia Iuliae Felicis) is a large Roman property located on the Via dell'Abbondanza in Pompeii, Italy[1]. Originally the private residence of Julia Felix, a wealthy Roman woman, the property underwent significant transformation after the major earthquake of 62 AD[1]. Following this natural disaster, Julia Felix converted portions of the estate into apartments available for rent and other spaces for public use[1]. This adaptation represents an early example of Roman mixed-use development, reflecting economic recovery efforts in Pompeii following the seismic event[1]. The earthquake of 62 AD served as a precursor to the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD that ultimately destroyed the city and preserved the site for archaeological study[1].
