A Roman theatre in the Thalbach quarter of Bregenz (ancient Brigantium), Vorarlberg, Austria, built for over 2,000 spectators -- far exceeding the settlement's population, suggesting regional importance. Its base was made of rounded brook stones, while the superstructure was largely wooden, with a circumference exceeding 50 metres. Long suspected, its existence was only confirmed through excavations in 2013 and 2019 by the Vorarlberg provincial museum.
