Austria3rd–7th c. AD: The Hadnmauer is the ruined remains of a letzi, a defensive barrier built across a valley, in the Gailtal valley in Austria[1]. It stretches from Rattendorf to Jenig and was constructed to secure the settlement of Gurina and the eastern region[1]. Originally 1.6 km long, only 336 m survive today[1]. On its western side, rooms for defending personnel are discernible[1].
