Ljuljaci

A prehistoric Bronze Age tumulus site in the Knic municipality, Sumadija District, Serbia. Excavated in 1977 and 1979 by archaeologist Dragoslav Srejovic, the tumuli yielded finds that helped define the Bubanj-Hum IV-Ljuljaci cultural group, a local variant distinct from the Vatin culture, dating to approximately 1500-1400 BC. Srejovic later published his analysis in 'Tribalski grobovi u Ljuljacima' (1991), and Triballi (Thracian) tombs were also identified at the site. The distinctive pottery includes bi-conical beakers with trapezoid rims.
