Claudium Virunum was a Roman city in the province of Noricum, located on the Zollfeld plain in Carinthia, Austria [1]. The settlement may have originally been the name of an earlier Celtic-Roman settlement on the nearby Magdalensberg hilltop [1]. Today, Virunum survives as the titular see of Virunensis in the Roman Catholic Church [1].
