SpainA 2nd-century Roman temple in Vic, Catalonia, built during the Roman city of Ausa. It consists of a cella and an atrium with eight columns. Hidden for centuries within the Castell dels Montcada, it was rediscovered in 1882 during castle demolition. A 77-year restoration (1883-1959) made it one of only two nearly complete Roman temples in Spain. Each column shaft bears the engraved name of a notable citizen of Vic.
