Los Bañales

A major Roman archaeological site spanning over 20 hectares in the municipality of Uncastillo, in the Cinco Villas region of Zaragoza, Spain. The settlement features monumental thermal baths, a forum, aristocratic residences with mural paintings, and a substantial aqueduct with large columns that transported water from a nearby reservoir. Ancient sources by Pliny the Elder and Ptolemy attribute the territory to the Vascones, though the city's Roman name remains debated. Systematic excavations resumed in 2008, making it the most important Roman site in the Comarca de las Cinco Villas and one of the most remarkable in Aragon.
