SpainThe Almonacid de la Cuba Dam is a Roman gravity dam in Zaragoza province, Aragon, Spain, built during the 1st century AD under Emperor Augustus. Standing 34 meters tall, 120 meters long, and 27 meters wide, it is the tallest surviving Roman dam in the world and remained the highest dam in Spain until 1590. It channeled water through an 8 km canal to irrigate the Belchite area.
