SpainThe Puy Foradado Dam was a Roman gravity arch dam on the Rio Riguel in Zaragoza province, Aragon, Spain, dating to the 2nd or 3rd century AD. Part of the Los Banales hydraulic system in the Ebro basin, the dam had a development of approximately 56 meters and a reduced height of about 2 meters, functioning as a diversion weir. Its circular structure with an upstream face formed by four ashlar courses represents a unique form among Roman dams in Spain. The reservoir is now completely silted up.
