Inka Wasi, Huancavelica

Inka Wasi (Quechua for "Inca house") is an Inca palace and archaeological site in Peru's Huancavelica Region, considered one of the most important monuments of the region. Located in Huaytara Province, about 25 km from Huaytara at 3,804 m elevation, the site is built of polished stones with trapezoidal walls and doorways featuring beautifully flat and flush stonework. The complex includes diverse living areas, plazas, warehouses, channels, and niches on both interior and exterior walls. It exemplifies the sophisticated architectural techniques of the Inca Empire.
