Paracas History Museum

The Paracas History Museum (Museo de la Historia de Paracas) in the Paracas Peninsula region displays a collection of elongated human skulls representing the ancient practice of artificial cranial deformation practiced by the Paracas culture from approximately 900–200 BC [1]. The museum showcases artifacts from the Paracas, Nazca, Huari, Chincha, and Inca cultures, representing over 2,500 years of continuous Andean occupation in this coastal desert area south of Lima [1]. The collection includes textiles, ceramics, and funerary objects from these successive civilizations.
