Kabah

Maya archaeological site in the Puuc region of Yucatan, Mexico, part of the Uxmal UNESCO World Heritage Site. Settlement began around 400 BC, with peak development between 750-950 AD. The most famous structure is the Codz Poop, featuring approximately 358 carved masks of the rain god Chaac, each composed of 30 mosaic stones. An 18 km raised sacbe causeway connects Kabah to Uxmal. The ruling dynasty abandoned the site around 950 AD.
