Mérida Anthropological Museum

The Museo Regional de Antropologia de Yucatan, housed in the Palacio Canton on Paseo de Montejo in Merida, Mexico. Built between 1904 and 1911 in Beaux Arts style for Governor Francisco Canton Rosado, it became a museum in 1966 under Mexico's National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH). The permanent collection spans from the pre-Classic to the late post-Classic Maya period, displayed on the main floor. The upper floor hosts temporary exhibitions, educational workshops, and cultural events promoting knowledge of pre-Hispanic and contemporary Yucatecan populations.
