The Heraion at Foce del Sele is an ancient Greek sanctuary dedicated to the goddess Hera in Magna Graecia, situated at the mouth of the Sele River approximately 8 km north of the Greek city of Poseidonia[1]. Due to centuries of riverine sediment deposition, the site now lies about 2.3 km from the modern coastline rather than at the water's edge[1]. The sanctuary is located in the modern comune of Capaccio-Paestum in southern Italy[1].
