Temple of Aphrodite, Ancient Cassope

The Temple of Aphrodite at ancient Cassope (Kassope) in Epirus, Greece, is a peripteral hexastyle temple measuring 17.20 x 10.15 metres, located outside the city walls [1] [2]. Aphrodite was the patron goddess of Cassope [1] [2]. Cassope itself is one of the best-preserved examples of a Hippodamian grid-plan city in Greece, with visible remains including cyclopean walls, an agora, a theatre, and private houses [2] [3].
