Mycenaean Cemetery of Voudeni

The Mycenaean Cemetery of Voudeni (1500-1050 BC) is part of the Patras Mycenaean Park in Western Greece, located 7 km northeast of Patras near the settlement of Voudeni [1]. The site covers 72.84 hectares at an altitude of 220 meters and contains 78 carved tombs alongside ruins of a prehistoric settlement possibly identified with ancient Mesatis [1]. First excavated in 1923 by Nikolaos Kyparissis, the cemetery yielded numerous artifacts including vases, clay statuettes, bronze tools, weapons, and jewelry, now displayed at the Archaeological Museum of Patras [1]. The site has been transformed into a recreational park [1].
