Desfina

Desfina is a town in southern Phocis, Greece [1]. The area has far older significance: on the hill of Kastrouli, a fortified Mycenaean settlement from the 13th-12th century BC features Cyclopean walls approximately 1.2-1.4 m wide, tentatively identified with Homeric Anemoreia [1] [2] [3]. The Southern Phokis Regional Project now conducts transdisciplinary research combining classics, archaeochemistry, and digital humanities to study the region's cultural landscape [3].
