Vasculaghju

Vasculaghju (also Vasculacciu) is a Neolithic burial and settlement site in the commune of Sotta, southern Corsica, dating from approximately 8800-2000 BC. The site is significant for its megalithic cists, which helped establish the chronology of Corsican megalithism, now dated to the mid-5th millennium BC. Archaeological studies of obsidian and chert industries at the site revealed prehistoric trade networks, with raw materials sourced from across the western Mediterranean. Nearby related sites include the Poghjaredda Dolmen and Casteddu di Tappa citadel.
