Olmeto

Olmeto is a commune in Corse-du-Sud on the island of Corsica, France, containing two notable archaeological sites: the Castellu de Cuntorba, a fortified prehistoric settlement perched on a hilltop, and Figa la Sarra. The area lies near the famous prehistoric site of Filitosa, known for its carved menhir-statues, placing Olmeto within a broader landscape of megalithic and Neolithic heritage in southern Corsica.
