Presa-Tusiu

Presa-Tusiu is a multi-period archaeological site in the commune of Altagène, Corsica, excavated by François de Lanfranchi from 1990-1992. The site spans three cultural phases: Neolithic Présien I (4000-3500 BC) with fine polished ceramics; Mégalithique I (3500-3000 BC) with geometric stone structures and imported obsidian; and Mégalithique II (3000-2500 BC) with megalithic constructions and engraved stones. Features include a megalithic alley, menhir, and a Bronze Age tower resembling a Sardinian nuraghe. Radiocarbon dating confirmed occupation between c. 3380-2480 BC.
