Gallardet Dolmen

Neolithic passage grave near Le Pouget in the Herault department of Languedoc, France, and one of the largest dolmens in the region. The monument features a 12-metre-long alley within a large tumulus, with a main chamber 6 metres long by 4 metres wide covered by three capstones. The dry-stone-walled structure includes a barrel-vaulted corridor, an ante-chamber, and an oven-door-style entrance only 1 metre wide. The entire passage grave remains enclosed within its original mound, a rare state of preservation for megalithic monuments in southern France.
