Oppidum de Roque de Viou

The Oppidum de Roque de Viou is a fortified Iron Age settlement on a hilltop overlooking the Vaunage valley, above Nages-et-Solorgues in Gard, Occitanie, France[1]. Located in the commune of Saint-Dionizy, it is one of six oppida in the Vaunage region, situated approximately 200 metres from the Oppidum de Nages[1]. The site shows three distinct phases of occupation: 700–600 BCE, 350–300 BCE, and around 50 BCE[1]. It has been listed as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture since 1980[1].
