Woodhouse Hill Fort

Woodhouse Hill Fort is an Iron Age hillfort (c. 1500–500 BC) between Frodsham and Helsby in Cheshire, England, occupying the northern end of the Mid Cheshire Ridge[1]. Steep cliffs on the western side provide natural defense, while a stone-revetted rampart protects the gentler northern and eastern slopes[1]. Excavations in 1951 revealed the rampart originally stood 4 metres (13 ft) high with stone facing on both sides[1].
