EnglandCheetham Close is a Neolithic to Early Bronze Age stone circle and scheduled ancient monument located in Lancashire, near the boundary with Greater Manchester, England [1]. According to an 1829 article, it was once believed to be a druidical ritual place, and a Roman road passed within 200 yards of the site [1]. The megalith was destroyed in the 1870s when a farmer from Turton sledgehammered the circle [1].
