Padderbury Top

Padderbury Top is an Iron Age defended settlement (hillfort) about 3.2 km south-east of Menheniot in Cornwall, England. The roughly circular enclosure has an interior diameter of approximately 73 metres, with an inner rampart 9 metres wide and 3 metres high. Aerial photographs reveal originally up to four lines of defence with associated ditches, now largely preserved as buried features. The monument is scheduled under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979 as being of national importance, occupying a prominent skyline position with commanding views across the surrounding landscape.
