EnglandGib Hill is a large composite burial mound in the Peak District, Derbyshire, located 300 metres southwest of Arbor Low henge. It comprises a Neolithic oval barrow (27m by 46m, 2m high) with an Early Bronze Age round barrow (24m by 27m, 3m high) superimposed at one end. Thomas Bateman's 1848 excavation uncovered a cist containing a cremation and food vessel from the Early Bronze Age. The monument complex spans episodes of use from approximately 2500 to 1500 BC and has seen no excavations for over 100 years.
