Chilworth Ring

Chilworth Ring is a small univallate Iron Age hillfort in Hampshire. Partial excavations were carried out in 1928 [1]. The site was later developed in the 1960s into a circle of detached houses constructed within the ramparts, with the road serving these houses called The Ring [1]. The original earthwork bank can only be seen in the eastern quadrant where it is followed by the road [1]. The nearby Castle Hill earthwork to the west is thought to have been a cattle enclosure [1].
