Paphos Archaeological Park contains the major part of the ancient Greek and Roman city of Nea Paphos in southwest Cyprus, inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980. The park features four elaborate Roman villas -- the Houses of Dionysos, Aion, Theseus, and Orpheus -- renowned for their exceptional mosaic floors depicting scenes from Greek mythology, dating from the 2nd to 5th centuries AD. Additional remains include an agora, odeion, Hellenistic-Roman theatre, and the monumental Tombs of the Kings necropolis.
