Early Roman House

The Early Roman House is a 1st-century AD residential structure within the Paphos Archaeological Park (Kato Pafos) in southwest Cyprus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1980. It is one of several Roman-era buildings excavated alongside the park's renowned mosaic villas -- the Houses of Dionysos, Theseus, Aion, and Orpheus. The park preserves remains from prehistoric times through the Middle Ages, with Nea Paphos having served as Cyprus's capital during the Hellenistic and Roman periods. The Early Roman House contributes to understanding the city's domestic architecture during the transition from Hellenistic to Roman rule on the island.
