Karpasia (also Karpasion) was an ancient Cypriot city on the northern Karpas Peninsula, located 3 km from modern Rizokarpaso [1]. According to tradition, it was founded by the Phoenician king Pygmalion of Tyre [1]. The city possessed a harbor whose ancient moles remain visible today [1].
