A Roman amphitheatre built around 90 AD in southern France, measuring 136 m long with 120 arches across two tiers of Corinthian and Doric columns. It seated over 20,000 spectators for gladiatorial combats and chariot races. After Rome's fall, it was converted into a fortress with four towers and housed over 200 dwellings until the 19th century. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981, it is now used for bullfighting during the Feria d'Arles and summer concerts.
