The Groß Raden Archaeological Open Air Museum lies about 1 km northeast of the village of Groß Raden in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, bordering the lake Radener See [1]. The site features a circular Slavic castle rampart on a peninsula, measuring 50 metres in diameter and visible from afar [1]. Extensive excavations from 1973 to 1980, led by Ewald Schuldt, uncovered remains of a Slavic settlement dating to the 9th and 10th centuries [1]. The fort has been reconstructed and established as an open-air museum, enhanced by finds from the Slavic castle of Behren-Lübchin [1].
